End of Project Advocacy to Community Stake holders

The RHF project team carried out an end of project advocacy to the various stakeholders in her project communities in Ogbia LGA for project close out and sustainability. The activity took place at the various communities from January 24, 2017 to February 2, 2017. Below are the key stakeholders whom the project team visited in each community

1. Community development committee chairmen
2. Child protection Committee Rep
3. Youth leaders
4. Women Leaders
5. Head Teacher

The RHF Project manager thanked the stake holders for the support and partnership given by the community towards the successful implementation of the HPDP II project. She also reminded them of the need of having a sustainability plan, she commended the CPC Rep for their good job so far there have been no report on child abuse in the various community, she encouraged them to continue with the good job even after the end of the HPDP II project the children should not be neglected.

She further gave room for feedback and appraisal of work done so far and best practices.

The CDC chairman of Emeyal- I, Mr Egbo Diabo appreciated RHF for the support given to the children in his community. He further mentioned that there have been a great changed in the area of Child protection compared to days back. He also mentioned that he will give his full support for the child protection right in his community.

The youth president Kolo II Comrade mentioned that he appreciate RHF for the HIV educative messages and condoms demonstration/distribution for the youths in his community which in turn have reduced the rate of STIs, he also appreciated RHF for the support given to the Vulnerable Children, that he wished the HPDP II will continue.

The ogbia community primary school headmistress Mrs Egba Doris testified that the children and the community at large benefitted immensely from the RHF|BYSACA|HPDPII project. According to her about 10- 20 caregivers have testified about their benefits ranging from school uniforms, food items , sandals, health supplies, Christmas packs and psychosocial supports and other things too numerous to mention.

The Ogbia youth president on behalf of the community youth said it is heart breaking to know that the project is coming to an end, he pointed out that there are still so many vulnerable children to be met.He prayed that the programme should be sustained and another phase of the project introduced in no distant time.

The CDC chairman Ogbia town appreciated RHF for all the wonderful things done in the community and promised that he will do everything within his reach to ensure that there is sustainability especially in the aspect of protecting the right of the children.

Doris Egba pleaded that empowerment should be introduced if perhaps any opportunity comes. She prayed God to bless RHF and their sponsors and also give them chance to do more in other communities. She further advised that proper awareness be created if another phase of the project becomes possible.

She emphasised on child protection and appealed that the committee should ensure that no child is abused in any way.
