The Enugu State Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), convened a high-level 2-Day Stakeholders Meeting on Human Resources for Health (HRH) to chart a clear path for effective health workforce planning and management.
The Royal Healthcare Foundation (RHF) played an active role in this milestone event through its Program Director, Chris Amalu, who provided technical assistance in conducting a comprehensive SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis. His contribution focused on strengthening partnership and coordination mechanisms aimed at the domestication and implementation of the HRH policy framework within Enugu State.
Held on December 11–12, 2024, at the AARON Place and Suites, Independence Layout, Enugu, the meeting brought together key stakeholders, policymakers, and development partners. The deliberations underscored the urgent need to build a resilient health workforce, improve accountability structures, and enhance collaborative efforts for sustainable healthcare delivery.
RHF’s active participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting government-led initiatives and ensuring that human resources for health remain a strong foundation for effective healthcare systems in Nigeria.
