Monthly M&E Meeting with HBC CVs/ Role Models Otuoke and Ogbia
The meeting took place at Federal Medical Centre Otuoke and Ogbia LGAs on December 13, 2016. A total of 26 participants (M/7, F/19) attended the meeting; also present was the RHF Project Team.
Objectives: The purpose of this meeting is to aid the CVs & Mentors in strengthening their input in monthly home visit, data tracking and collation of reports of defaulters, migration, death and referrals.
The meeting started at about 11:00am with an opening prayer said by Mrs.OkereEbere.
The monthly reports were submitted by the HBC CVs from their various clusters, challenges were discussed and way-forward were also mentioned, however the RHF staff reminded the CVs that the project is coming to an end, she urged the CVs to continue with the good works they have been doing in the area of Home Based Care activities, she also told them not to relent in the prevention of new HIV infections.
The ARV Coordinator, FMC Otuoke, Matron Esen also urged participants to build self-confidence irrespective of their status as well as show themselves as role models for others, letting them know that they can still live a healthy lifestyle. It is also expected that they identify new clients and introduce them to the forum.
Love Bekewari a CV pleaded that their children be given opportunity to benefit directly from the programme. In response the RHF team promised taking the message back to the management.
In the absence of other discussions, refreshment was served and allowances paid to participants.
